Step 1 Review your survey results as a senior team.
Overview - Look at the main page on the dashboard first to see an overview.
Step 2 - Identify areas to celebrate, for quick wins and to action.
Report → Heatmaps → Comments → Data Deep Dive
Step 3 Feedback to staff and agree on areas for shared action.
Once you have understood your results, you should share them with staff. You may also want to present them to governors and other stakeholders. More information on this is in the article Presenting results
Step 4 Identify plans to implement quick wins.
It is important to involve staff and create shared solutions, rather than think of this as something senior leaders need to do independently for staff. Wellbeing is everyone’s business.
Step 5 Set goals (e.g. future scores, absence and cost reductions).

Step 6 Add actions to the school development plan.
There is a set of 12 evidence-built competencies covering behaviours that are proven to prevent and reduce staff stress. Read more here Competencies that prevent and reduce staff stress.
Leaders can self-assess against these: Self-assessment Modules
Some suggested training - Training; Coaching, Developing Empathy, Building Trust, Effective Listening & Managing Stress.
Step 7 Review the implementation of plans and actions through SDP.
The intention is that all the data you collect can be used to promote a system of continuous improvement. Other school data, such as staff absence, staff turnover, student behaviour and outcomes, are other important indicators of the prevalence of work-related stress and likely staff wellbeing in your school.
